Anne Ivory by Shade of Red
I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I listened to a Shade of Red song. I just could not get Shakespeare out of my mind, and for quite some time we were yelling “I never write things down!” around the house. I was very excited when the band finally released their second EP titled Anne Ivory. It features four tracks which they recorded “over 3 months in our [their] makeshift studio”, and all four of them are filled with lighthearted lyrics of admiration and misfortune. Shade of Red are able to enlighten you with soothing warm brass, deep basslines, and many other fabulous elements that will completely entice you.
The group have narrowed in on all their talents even more with Anne Ivory to create absolutely contagious tunes. A fantastic example of this in their track Wit’s End; the band slows down the rhythm and within the slightest moment, it twists into a delightful rock meets polka-esque whimsical beat. It happens to be those little twists and turns that add a charming element in their songs which simply cannot be ignored!
The tracks will make you want to dance, sing, and will make you pretty damn happy, too! You can now download the album digitally or have it sent to you so they can be enjoyed wherever you go. So let me ask you this: Would you like to be taken on a journey of melodious vocals and a brassy atmospheric noise- the kind of noise you want to hear? Then you’ve GOT to hear this!
