SPLASHH are a high-energy, surf-vibes, groovy band hailing from Hackney, London. Their music will entice you to dance to their insanely addictive riffs, upbeat rhythms, deep basslines, and sweet, bubbly vocals. To put it simply, SPLASHH are killing it! To see what’s been keeping the band busy lately, AMBY spoke with them about their upcoming tour in America, funny gig moments, and more!

AMBY: How would you describe SPLASHH’s sound to those unfamiliar with your music?

SPLASHH:
heavy / dreamy / fast / punk rock & roll .

AMBY: What is the funniest thing to happen to you at one of your gigs?

SPLASHH:
Some girls flashed there boobs at us once ha ha.

AMBY: So Young is a fine song, what is the story behind it?

SPLASHH: I guess it’s just about having the carefree attitude when you’re young, it feels like there’s no major worrying going on, it’s all about having fun.

AMBY: If you were a heavy metal band whom would you be?

SPLASHH: Black Sabbath.

AMBY: What does the band have planned for 2013?

SPLASHH: We have our first release / and tour in America within the next couple of months which we can’t wait for! Also a EP in the UK too… Hopefully keeping busy for the rest of the year ;)

AMBY: Who would your dream gig be with?

SPLASHH: The Dirty Mac would be pretty sick.

AMBY: Which artists have you been listening to lately?

SPLASHH: The Beatles / My Bloody Valentine / Smashing Pumpkins / Melodys Echo Chamber / Deerhunter / Primal Scream (Screamedelica) lots more…

AMBY: If you could invite any three people to dinner, who would you choose?

SPLASHH: John Lennon, Paddy Harrowsmith and my mum.

AMBY: What has you excited for 2013?

SPLASHH:
I guess the tour in America is what we are really excited about at the moment, writing and recording new songs for the album too :)

AMBY: And lastly, what’s something about SPLASHH that nobody knows yet?

SPLASHH: That we hail from Australia, NZ, UK.
