I’m John Pattison – a singer-songwriter from the North East of England who records music in his loft using an old eMac, an acoustic guitar and odd stuff like rustling paper and the tapping of my own thighs. I wanted to prove that you didn’t need a vast network of contacts, loads of money, a studio or even band members to make decent music. So far, I’ve made an acoustic/electronica EP called Battery and I’m currently working on a new single. Together with my mate Dave (and a really old drum machine called Roland) I’ve just started translating the songs on the EP into live performances. There’ll be more gigs and releases this year, so stay tuned!
