England in 1819Hello A Music Blog, Yea? readers and friends!

We are England in 1819 – 2 brothers from Baton Rouge making indie/electronic music which sounds maybe like a mix between Sigur Ros, Future Islands and M83. We use synths and electronic beats along with floaty vocals and french horn to create our self-dubbed “grandwave” sound.

We enjoy all kinds of music. Everything from Alt-J, Beach House, and Radiohead to Modest Mouse, The Smiths, Duke Ellington and many many others in between.

We spent the summer in a cabin in North Carolina where we wrote and recorded our latest album: Fireball Electric Tomorrow. There was no TV, internet or phone – just us and a bunch of instruments. Also there was a bear and 2 snakes, which we scared off with golf clubs.

We’re currently nearing the end of our 50+ show tour and we’re super excited to be playing in Canada for the first time (keep your fingers crossed for us at the border!) Thanks for checking us out and we hope to see you soon!

With all our dearest love,

England in 1819
