A while ago, indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club announced that they will be releasing their fourth studio album, “So Long, See You Tomorrow” in February 2014. So far they have released two songs from the upcoming album, the upbeat ‘Carry Me’ and the somewhat calmer ‘It’s Alright Now.’
‘Luna’ is the third song the band has released from ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow.’ It is a song that is in keeping with Bombay Bicycle Club’s original sound- slow guitars paired with Jack Steadman’s infectiously lazy sounding vocals (backing vocals provided by Rae Morris, who is supporting the band on their forthcoming tour). Summery and uplifting, the song wouldn’t be out of place in an inspirational movie about following your dreams and finding yourself.
If there wasn’t already enough anticipation for a new Bombay Bicycle Club album, ‘Luna’ assures that Bombay have kept the great lyrics and even greater sound what makes them so exciting, however at the same time evolving into something completely new. I look forward to hearing the new album.
