We’re delighted to introduce our readers to Julietta — a New York singer-songwriter who premieres her song Goosebumps on A Music Blog, Yea? today. The debut track begins with Julietta serenading listeners as she softly sings, “I’ve got goosebumps on my skin, ’cause it’s cold and you won’t let me in”. Merging into the verse, the song shimmers with an airy yet swayable downbeat which quickly bursts into a powerful chorus as Julietta expresses faults in a past relationship.
With intimate lyrics as those sung in this debut, Julietta establishes an immediate personal connection with the audience. It’s compelling lyricism and infectious choruses like these that showcase her talent as a writer. As most great songs do, the three minute and twenty four second track flies by in what feels like a near minute, coming to a close with the chilling opening line.
Goosebumps was co-written by The Postelles’ Daniel Balk and produced by Chris Camilleri (MSMR), Bryan Spitzer, and Daniel. Keep your eyes on Julietta’s social medias for updates as there’s another stunning track titled Conquest in the works. Stream the excellent slice of electronic-pop below:
