It’s lovely to be here in Canada (virtually).
We are Poor Frisco, a four piece indie rock band from East Kilbride in the suburbs of drizzly Glasgow, Scotland. We play fuzzy alt-pop in the vein of The Pixies, The Shins, and The Jesus and Mary Chain, or at least we hope that’s the effect.
Introductions: Callum sings and plays the guitar, Scott is also on the guitar, Fleck is the bassist, backing vocalist and resident artist (check out the job he did on our single cover) and David bangs the drums.
We’ve been together since around 2011 and have released a few EPs since then. This year is going to be a big one for us as we’ve decided it’s time to put out a debut album. Our new single, ‘A Tick Ahead’ is the first from said album and features what will hopefully be all the hallmarks of it: big guitars, pop hooks and a whingeing Scottish bloke moaning about the weather over the top of it.
If that sounds appealing to you (and why wouldn’t it?) we’d be eternally grateful if you’d give ‘A Tick Ahead’ a listen!
All the best,
