Jason, Jake, Jacob, Gregory, Kevin, and Joey, members of the emerging So-Cal band, HUNNY, are quickly making their mark in the music world. I came across HUNNY in my SoundCloud feed and haven’t been able to stop listening since. Recently, the band has experienced a new wave of fans coming from outside of California, aided by their down-to-earth Twitter and preforming with well-known favorites, Bad Suns.
The band, who shares a producer with bands such as Tokyo Police Club and Girls, shows extreme promise. Indie Rock enthusiasts are bound to fall head-over-heels for HUNNY’s debut single, Cry For Me.
Cry For Me showcases the band’s ability to generate a pleasing medley comprised of funky guitar, danceable beats, and swoon-worthy vocals, creating a post-punk vibe.
I anticipate that music lovers everywhere are eagerly waiting to see more from HUNNY in the near future.
