Today we’re pleased to exclusively share that Language Arts have announced the details of their new record Able Island. Scheduled for release on October 9th, the sophomore album from this Toronto art-rock group — comprised of Kristen Cudmore (guitarist and vocalist), Neil MacIntosh (drums), and Joel Visentin (their prairie party boy on keys and synth bass) — is an homage to Nova Scotia and to the enigmatic Sable Island.
Recorded across Canada in a myriad of locations (bedrooms, basements, hotels, clubs, alleyways, cottages, etc) it was DIY in its truest form. Produced by the band (Kristen Cudmore, Neil MacIntosh, Joel Visentin), they collaborated with Darryl Neudorf on the mix and Peter Moore on the master (the post-production stuff) but most of the fuel came from the trio.
