It’s been an exciting year to follow the adventures of The Van T’s, as AMBY interviewed the noise-pop makers after their performance at T in the Park and saw them support fellow Scottish musical duo Honeyblood.
Continuing their stride, the foursome — fronted by twin sisters Hannah and Chloe Van Thompson and completed by bassist Joanne Forbes and drummer Shaun Hood — will soon release their forthcoming single Laguna Babe, taken from their debut EP of the same name. The single explodes with grunge-inspired riffs and moody, gothic atmospheres all tangled up in their upbeat melodies and infectiously care-free vocals.
Today we’re pleased to host the premiere of the new video for Laguna Babe, where fans can enjoy a night filled with spontaneous cheerleading in diners which leads to some dangerously bizarre clubbing. When asked about the video, The Van T’s told AMBY;
“Tim Courtney (BAFTA nominee) did a great job writing and directing the video. It suits the song very well and we had a lot of fun doing it, it’s dark nature was exactly what we were looking for.”
To celebrate the release of the single, the band will play a special gig at Hug & Pint in Glasgow on November 14th. Ahead of the show, exclusively indulge Laguna Babe on AMBY and follow updates from The Van T’s below.
