Armchair Committee first formed as Tom Hackwell (Guitar/Vocals) and myself (Dave Larkin, Bass/Vocals) demo-ing some tracks in a filthy apartment in North Carolina during an extended trip to the USA in 2011. After writing a few embryonic song ideas while there, we moved to Bristol and started playing gigs and DIY tours. We self-released a few singles and EP’s in the years following. The current lineup was solidified in mid-2015 with the addition of Charlie Inshaw (Drums/Vocals), a close friend who happened to be in need of a band at the same time that we were in need of a drummer.
In 2015 we launched Deaf Endling Records. A label collective to release our music, as well as a group of other Bristol bands. We recorded our new single ‘Rawgabbit / All Mine’ with Tom Dalgety (Turbowolf/Killing Joke/Royal Blood) which will be released in December. Our debut album ‘Half as Gold, but Twice as Grand’ will be released in early 2016.
