I’m a singer-songwriter and guitarist based in New York City and I just released my first EP, Piece by Piece this October. You can grab it for whatever price you like on my BandCamp! Written while I was in college at The University of Miami’s Frost School of Music (where I studied songwriting and music business), the songs are pretty confessional – about the excitement and trepidations of love (“Light the Way,” “Piece by Piece”), facing insecurities (“Underside”), and acknowledging the strange and confusing fact that we all die someday (“Forever in My Hand”). Maybe that sounds like heavy stuff but the record doesn’t. Influenced by acts from Bright Eyes and Bob Dylan to Counting Crows and Alanis Morissette, I’d say the EP has an organic feel and certainly a pop sensibility at heart.
In the year and a half since I’ve been back in my native New York post-college, my head has virtually exploded with new musical experiences and inspiration. I’ve had the opportunity to travel around the country, playing guitar and bass as a side-lady for some very cool bands. I’ve reconnected with old friends- former mentors and now collaborators- and I’ve been able to see and perform alongside some truly awesome artists. Most of all, I’ve been having a blast performing around NYC with my band and I’m more excited than ever about the new music that’s on the way!
