Reading & Leeds Festival 2016 – catch the headliners of the future on the BBC Introducing Stage!

Reading and Leeds BBC Intro Stage
With less than 10 days to go until Reading and Leeds Festival kicks off, we’re starting to make lists of our favourite bands so we manage to catch as many as possible! I can’t deny that Biffy Clyro, Cage the Elephant, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are top of the list for Headliners this year, but we’re always stoked to see which up and coming acts we can discover and then follow their progress as they head towards becoming the headliners of the future!

The BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds has announced its full line up and it looks like it might just provide some new favourites. Already featured on AMBY’s You’ve GOT to Hear This section, Peterborough-based indie four piece Airways is definitely one to look out for appearing on Friday at Reading, Saturday at Leeds. Also playing on the same days and already on our radar is Jordan Allen, a 19 yr old singer songwriter from Bolton. Other potential big names of the future include Muncie Girls, a catchy punk rock band from Brighton, indie pop Happy Accidents, hotly tipped Coquin Migale, and The Shimmer Band who we’ve been hearing great things about!

We wonder who will be performing in the surprise sets, if previous years surprise appearances are anything to go by such as the likes of the brilliant Wolf Alice, You Me At Six, and alt-J, we are not going to want to miss them! The full line up for BBC Introducing stage 2016 looks great, take a look at the full list of bands below;

Coquin Migale, Beau, Muncie Girls, Paris Youth Foundation, AIRWAYS, Happy Accidents, EAT FAST, The Wholls, Strong Asian Mothers, Jordan Allen, Fronteers, Ten Tonnes, The Shimmer Band, High Tyde, Cameron A G, The Tin Pigeons, Avalanche Party, Tiny Giant, HAUS, We Were Giants, SuperGlu, K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, Lawrence Taylor, Tusk, Sonny Green, Mowbeck, Mouses, Arctic Lake, CaStleS, Hardwicke Circus, Faux Pas, VEXXES, NIGHT OWLS, Adore//repel, The Indigo Project.
