4 reasons why Budweiser Stage is my go-to venue for summer concerts

Budweiser Stage

I can’t tell you how much I love the newly renovated Budweiser Stage! Actually, I can, and that’s exactly what this whole article is about. Cheeky, eh? As a Chief Music Officer for Budweiser Stage, I find myself at this venue each week singing my heart out with some of my favourite bands, hosting AMBY interviews, and indulging in all the amazing bonus features the venue has to offer. Here are my four reasons why Budweiser Stage is my go-to venue for summer gigs.

1 – The Venue Size

As many of you know, I’m a total sucker for smaller venues and seeing indie bands, so going to Budweiser Stage is always an exciting change for me. This venue can fit up to sixteen thousand people. Yes, you read that correctly. There’s something extremely powerful about having that many people in one place, all there for the same reason: to see their favourite artists and have a fun night.

2 – The River Bar

This is a brand new feature added to Budweiser Stage that I love indulging in. The River Bar is a venue within the venue – it showcases the beautiful skyline of Toronto, has its own bar, and is a platform for local talent to perform before the headliners take to the Bud Stage. I’ve discovered so many artists through The River Bar and it’s given friends and I the opportunity to catch some of our local favourites in a super intimate setting.

3 – The Artist Walkway

Welcome to my favourite feature of Budweiser Stage. With so many venues in Toronto, it can sometimes be difficult to set yourself apart – things have been done before and bands have been booked in other places. However, the Artist Walkway is such a special element of Budweiser Stage. The Artist Walkway is a walkway inside the venue which leads fans to the stage and features portraits of each band performing throughout the summertime, all drawn by talented local artists. The graphics are incredible and they’re always great for a photo opp!

4 – The Bands Performing

Budweiser Stage has a ridiculous amount of fantastic bands performing this summer. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Train, Boston, Joan Jett, Muse, Korn, Natasha Bedingfield, Stone Sour, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Arkells, and a ton of other thrilling acts take the stage.

Thanks so much for reading my article! If you’ve yet to come down to Budweiser Stage, there are still tons of concerts happening throughout the summertime. Be sure to say hello if you see me down there!

  1. It sounds really interesting! What amazes me is the size of the stage – it is really hard to believe that it can fit up to 16 thousand people! I checked Budweiser Stage on the Internet – it looks really breathtaking. I wish there was something similar in Poland.
