The Austin City Limits Music Festival is fastly approaching its way back to Zilker Park.
Paul McCartney, Metallica, Childish Gambino, Travis Scott, Odesza, and Arctic Monkeys headline this star-studded line up. Other huge artists that are coming along with them include Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Khalid, Deftones, and Disturbed amongst many others.
ACL has always been the festival that brought many Austinites together to celebrate good music in their city. It was a festival to showcase some of Austin’s best talent and it still continues to do that with bringing on several local artists to the festival. Some of those artists this year are Kydd Jones, The Gospel Stars, Duncan Fellows, and the ever so wonderful Shakey Graves.
Acts that we’re looking forward to are of course from the main headliners but as well as some of the smaller acts including X Ambassadors, CHVRCHES, Greta Van Fleet, Janelle Monae, Yungblud, and Bishop Briggs.
This is one of the biggest and most exciting lineups ACL has put out, and we’re looking forward to it and excited to live in the moment at the festival this year.
Travis Scott –
With the recent release of the heavily awaited Astroworld, the fans have been craving new music from Travis and waited months for this album to come out. Travis will in fact bring the heat to Texas, seeing as it will be a home state show for him. He also announced his own festival in Houston, Texas called Astroworld fest, which is following ACL in November. This is one headlining act you do not want to miss.
Greta Van Fleet –
These fine, rockin’ young men have taken the rock world by storm with many comparisons to Led Zeppelin. The classic rock style voice by Josh Kiszka gives us the chills just thinking about the great classic bands that came before them. They have blown up over the past year and a half and continue to do so rocking the stage.
Camila Cabello –
Once a member of Fifth Harmony and probably even bigger than Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello’s career skyrocketed when she went solo and drifted away from her all female pop group. She has put out hit after hit for quite awhile and worked with numerous artists that have once graced the ACL stage. Unfortunately she won’t be at both weekends but those attending weekend 1 should not miss her performance.
An English alternative rock musician has made a name for himself this past summer on the Final Cross Country Vans Warped Tour. He is an energetic high performance artist that gives the fans a great show. He jumps; he shreds and has a great voice. If you like artists that moves around and goes crazy on stage or even into the crowd with the fans, then Yungblud is one artist you don’t want to miss out on seeing.
We don’t even know the last time we’ve seen this Electronic duo perform before our eyes, and we surely don’t want to miss it either. We can expect a great light show with their production set up, and really cool vibes all around. We’re just really excited to see their stage production and what they have in store for us fans at the festival.
