Five Favourite Fab Gigs: The Family Rain

The Family Rain
AMBY’s had the pleasure of working with The Family Rain on multiple occasions now, and we find each article only gets better. After interviewing the band (twice!), writing about their songs, and reviewing their gigs, it was time for The Family Rain to tell AMBY about their five favourite fab gigs!

5. Blackpool Empress Ballroom
This was our first show on the Courteeners tour – it is such an amazing venue and the crowd was up for it from the word go! It was great just to watch the Courteeners show from the sidelines and see the crowd moving from front to back.

4. Sebright Arms, London
Our first London show, and it was a sell out! It was a great feeling to play to a room of people who came to see us!

3. La Flèche D’or, Paris
This was a great show to wrap up our European tour supporting Willy Moon. It was about 900 degrees in there and the crowd were buzzing…Tim managed to bust right through the bass drum skin on the last beat of the last song as well!

2. The Green Door store, Brighton, The Great Escape 2013
We went on stage at about 1 am and it was already hot and sweaty in there! The crowd were all still in party mode, and so were we, a very rowdy and energetic gig!

1. Brixton Academy
This was our first experience of playing Brixton academy and one none of us will forget. It was the last night for us on the Courteeners tour. We had a great reception from the crowd and it is such and amazing venue… What more could you ask for?
