Getting Cozy With: Glenn Godfrey

Glenn GodfreyHey hey hey everyone!!

Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to AMBY for this feature!!!

So, my name is Glenn Godfrey and I’m an original UK based artist and if I had to categorise my music I would say Urban/Pop. All the music is produced by me (with a little help from some very talent guitarists) and lyric wise I write all my own too, using inspiration from past memories/events and sometimes just pure imagination.

In March 2013 I released my debut single called “I’m Young” with the official music video is out online now. It has gained a lot of interest and excitement since first released and even Ed Drewett (Song-Writer of Olly Murs – Dear Darlin, The Wanted – Glad You Came & One Direction – Best Song Ever) got in touch to tell me he loved the track! Hearing that from someone who’s music I listen to was a huge deal for me, its something that I will remember!

I also got selected out of 1000 other musicians from across the country to play on the Main Stage at a big festival, called Brownstock 2013. I appeared with some of the biggest names in the industry right now such as; Devlin, Professor Green, Delilah, Mark Ronson, The Fratellis, and many more. Previous years the stage has seen the likes of Labrinth, Example and Grand Master Flash to name a few. It was a true honour to have had the opportunity to perform on the stage, the crowd were great and all the members of the team on stage where incredible! I even had the pleasure of meeting Devlin backstage after my performance.

In November 2013 I released my second single “Superhero” via iTunes and the official video online. After this hit the digital stores I had a presenter from Signal 1 Radio Station in Stoke-On-Trent contact me. We had spoken many times before when “I’m Young” was released and he asked me if I would be willing to turn on the towns christmas lights 2013 in Longton with all accommodation paid for. This was a fantastic opportunity and I loved every second of it, the crowd were incredible and I lost count of how many people wanted a photo with me. It was a great feeling to have so many people appreciate the music I do, its something I will remember for a lifetime!

So that’s a short bit of info of what I have been up to so far, I hope you enjoy watching and listening to my tracks and please feel free to head over to my Facebook page and say hi.

This is only the start to my journey and I hope you all join me to follow my next steps! :D
