You’ve GOT to See This: High Tyde – “Karibu”

High Tyde
Not to be confused with the similarly named Milton Keynes 4 piece Hi-Tide also featured in AMBY, Brighton’s High Tyde are also a 4 piece this time hailing from Brighton. AMBY first got cozy with them nearly a year ago as they released single “Get Up Tonight”.

“Karibu” marks their return in the summer of 2014 with the upbeat single accompanied with a suitably uplifting video, filmed and edited by Matt Tozer. The video shows lead vocalist and bassist Cody Thomas Matthews brightly singing and dancing around Brighton along with his rather more circumspect bandmates, as local folk help out holding up signs displaying the songs lyrics.

Louis Semlekan-Faith keeps the track on beat on drums with Spencer Tobias-Williams and Connor Cheetham on guitars. “Karibu” marks a bright return for the band. It’s been accompanied with some London live dates with fellow AMBY faves HAUS and Jungle Doctors, thoroughly entertaining line ups which bode very well for the future.
