Getting Cozy With: CJ Reardon

CJ Reardon
Hi guys, hope all’s well with you good folks across the Atlantic. I’m writing this from my flat in London, after a busy day in the recording studio. I’ve been recording and performing as CJ Reardon for just the past few months, and have been overwhelmed by the response to my music so far. Thanks to A Music Blog Yea? also for their support.

A little about me? I dropped my debut EP in October of last year, after playing a few secret gigs around London and getting positive reviews. I was fortunate enough for the ‘Acid Rain’ EP tracks to see support from places likes BBC Introducing and Record of the Day. Now I’m in the process of prepping for my next release, my single ‘Bombay’, which is out on 9 March 2015. Hope you enjoy the international premier of it below for you! I’ve been playing music for years now one way or another, though I must admit I love being a solo artist. In previous projects, I did get to perform alongside the likes of Bastille and Maverick Sabre; and I’ve had support from BBC Introducing before and, in particular, BBC Radio 1’s Greg James. Nice bloke! I started to perform as just CJ Reardon when I started listening to more and more folkie critic darlings such as Gregory Alan Isakov and Alexi Murdoch. I’m also partial to some more radio-friendly stuff too, like Vance Joy for example. My music was recently decided by one journo as “beautiful folk with a pop edge” which is exactly what I’m going for I must admit.

And next up for me? Well, should any of you lovely people be in London town in the coming weeks, feel free to drop in and see me at the Jazz Café on Friday 13 February, and at the ILuvLive showcase @ The Stillery on Monday 16 March. Otherwise, just listen to the music and enjoy really. Thanks.
CJ x
