You’ve GOT to Hear This: Slaves – “Feed The Mantaray”

A garage-punk two piece hailing from Tunbridge, Wells in the UK, Slaves have been turning heads with their gritty sound through a series of singles spawned last year, drawing comparisons to the likes of Crass and the Sex Pistols.

Like their previous release, Feed The Mantaray indulges in energy. The harsh guitars, coupled with Isaac Holman’s yelly vocals, deliver the song’s aggression with fire.

Feed The Mantaray is more melodic and radio-friendly compared to its predecessors, boasting witty, comical, probably senseless lyrics, and a catchy chorus, guaranteed to stick with you for days. It is chaotic, loud and fun, a reason to greatly anticipate their upcoming debut album Are You Satisfied? (to be released on June 1st).

For those unfamiliar with the band’s music, this song is definitely a good place to start.
