You’ve GOT to See This: New Bays – “Reckless”

New Bays

Hailing from Birmingham and Buckinghamshire, 5 piece New Bays returned with a strong 4 track EP on May 25 of which “Reckless” is the lead track, along with “Would She Lie”, “Someone To Love”, and “Beat The Same”.

The accompanying video captures the band in the studio, along with excerpts of live performances where they have supported the likes of We Are The Ocean, Young Kato, As Elephants Are, Frankie and the Heartstrings, and Finley Quaye, along with various festival dates.

The band cite their influences as the Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and The Black Keys, although to my ears they have a hint of Tears For Fears as well, which is in keeping with the pop sensibilities melded with their indie sound.

Formed over 18 months ago, the band is comprised Adam Bennett (lead vocals and guitar), Nathan Parsons (guitar), Jack Sylvester (drums), Dan Williams (keyboards) and Charlie Sweet (bass).
