After enjoying all of the T in the Park 2015 festivities, AMBY quickly caught up with Scottish alt-rockers Our Future Glory to discuss all things T in the Park. Enjoy our exclusive interview below as they also talk favourite bands, T in the Park’s new location, and sunshine.
AMBY: So that was your first time playing at T in the Park, how was it?
MO: it was mental in the right sense of the word, a tent full of folk bouncing and singing our songs.
AMBY: Where does the name come from?
MO: Dreaming of youth ruling the world, there’s too many old people in charge.
AMBY: How would you describe your sound to those unfamiliar?
MO: Like all those odd-sounding songs you loved listening to on the radio and a touch of Prodigy/ The Killers/ Bloc Party.
AMBY: Were there any favourite acts you managed to catch over the weekend whilst at T?
SAM: Fatboy Slim and Be Charlotte were a definite highlight. It was awesome getting to hang with Enter Shikari and our boys in Everything Everything. George The Poet was definitely the best new discovery for us, played an incredible set just before us.
AMBY: What are your thoughts on the new location?
SAM: Love it. Beautiful scenery, and the arena is more compact so it means that you don’t have to trek for miles in between stages and tents if you’re trying to catch loads of different bands.
AMBY: Where do you gather inspiration for your music?
MO: Brilliant sunshine, or goosebump moments!
AMBY: What’s next?
JOSH: Announcing the release date for our next single, Battleheart, then getting straight back into the studio & continuing work on material for our first album! We’ve got a few killer UK shows lined up over the next few months. Most importantly, we will be releasing new music non-stop! So keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter, and SoundCloud!
AMBY: Finally, what’s your guilty pleasure song(s)?
JOSH: ALL Alice Deejay songs. Born To Run – Bruce Springsteen.
Thank you Our Future Glory, for giving us your answers!
