Exclusive Video Premiere: Royal Tusk – “Fever”

Royal Tusk
The last time AMBY featured Royal Tusk was when they performed for us in their undies. Yes – you read that correctly; the Edmonton rockers played us a song, all while dressed in their robes and undergarments (take a look).

Since then, the fivesome have been gearing up for the release of their debut record DealBreaker. Today we’re pleased to have the talented charmers back on the site as we premiere the video for their latest single Fever. Sticking to their roots, the song is a funky, guitar-driven rock jam which shimmers with the band’s heartfelt lyricism. When asked about the song, Daniel Carriere shared with us;

“Making the video for Fever was probably the most fun I’ve had at a shoot. I’m not sure if it’s because so many of our friends were there, the unnecessary amount of alcohol, or how disorganized it was but the combination of these factors made it kind of special and a total blast. That is, when we weren’t trying to organize the crowd between shots – It was like herding cats. Hurting cats? No, it’s herding.

Anyways, What we did is treat the video just like a show. We set up a PA, and performed six of the songs from the new record while Travis and his team filmed. It was the first time many of these people had heard (herd?) the new tracks so it was pretty cool to debut them in this manor. We wanted to create an authentic experience for everyone there by using live music and they definitely reciprocated. From the crowds energy, I found myself feeling like I had as a kid when playing basement shows. A real treat. Just remember that if you give free alcohol out at your own video, it’s your fault for anything that could happen… Oh, and the live audio versions of the performance will be released later this year.”

Exclusively watch Royal Tusk perform Fever in the video on AMBY and follow updates from Royal Tusk below. DealBreaker is scheduled for release on May 6th via Maple Music Recordings and is available for pre-order here.
