I just feel like turning the volume way up and yelling out the words: “I broke my cigarette, I broke my cigarette. Dried up the river. Now there is no place left to swim…” as I play the song “Ragged Child” one more time.
It is one of those catchy tunes that can stick with me for a long time after I have given it a listen or two these days. Great lyrics, supported by tough drum beats, wild tambourine, sweet guitar, funky bass, rich organ, and those unique vocals yelled out with passion leads me astray for a little while. Whether you know the song already or not, I think you’ve got to give it a listen today as well.
The song is part of Chrome Pony’s freshly created EP “Past Lives”. The Nashville based band consists of the two brothers Tyler and Kyle Davis, Jota Ese, and Ric Alessio. When the band state that they pick and choose from different genres between the hip-shaking and headbanging, you know that you are going to hear something unique.
The EP has just been released in Europe/Internationally on February 5th and it will be ready for everyone in the US/Canada from February 19th.
