“Goosebumps” is the debut release from London and Brighton five piece FORTE. It comes on the back of a sold out release show at London’s Nambucca, with The Pelirocco set to host a Brighton show on 26 February. The track has already picked up a bit of buzz with Jim Gellatly giving it a radio debut on his Amazing Radio show and Gary Crowley playing it out over BBC Radio London, with plays across the BBC Introducing network.
There’s a classic, anthemic rock feel to the track with soaring guitar riffs from lead guitarist Harry Patterson and vocals to match from singer Dan Coburn, formerly of iC1s. The band cite Edgar Allan Poe as an influence and there’s more than a hint of poetic darkness in the stylish black and white video directed by Cosmic Joke that is a perfect companion piece to the track.
Joining Harry and Dan on guitar is fellow iC1s’ alumnus Jesse James, with Adam Stone on bass and Reece Bradbury on drums providing the rhythm section that drives the track forward. Together as FORTE they provide a classic sound that is timeless and yet fresh for 2016. Their Brighton show is free entry so there’s no excuse missing them live if you are anywhere nearby.
