Steve Aoki embarked on his Kolony Tour on February 10th and ended the month at Stubbs in Austin, Texas where Steve himself has had many great memories dating back to performing at the Austin Music Hall, and SXSW.
He brought a long a few of his friends such as Party Pupils, Deorro, Grandtheft and one of his special friends, Desiigner.
It was party central at Stubbs from 5pm to about 10:30pm. The Austin rave community showed up for the night and partied and dance like there was no tomorrow. Fans came dressed in typical rave style clothing such as neon flashing light accessories, metallic one pieces, furry light up gloves and many other lighting and furry clothing items. Desiigner was no stranger to Austin. He became more widely known through SXSW, in which he says Austin is “where it all started.” His hits like “Panda,” and “Timmy Turner,” got the crowd turnt up and ready for Steve Aoki to hit the stage.
The crowd went nuts when Steve Aoki hit the DJ booth and started spinning his tracks. Aoki would come out from his DJ booth quite often to get into the crowd, pump them up and have an overall good time. If you know how Steve Aoki gets down at his shows, well then you know being caked is one of the prestigious things to get at his show. He brought 10 cakes with him and 10 lucky fans were going to get caked while those around them get the leftover pieces fallen onto them. Aoki is quite the master at aiming cakes into the crowd because he gets it so perfectly onto the fans face. Fans were left caked and satisfied.
Steve Aoki’s Kolony Tour will continue through mid-March and end in Las Vegas.
